    HAPPY
HALLOWEEN

Hehe :) ^
How is everyone? Is anyone celebrating Halloween this year? Comment what you're up to on the 31st.
This week I decided to do a Halloween post because ….. Why not?
It is jam-packed with Halloween themed Jokes, Snack Ideas, Makeup Ideas, Costume Ideas and much more!

I know this has nothing to do with Halloween but I pre-ordered Zoe's new book (Girl Online On Tour) a few months ago and it came yesterday. It is a signed copy! I'm already on page 100 or something. Comment if you have GOOT and how much you've read!

 So yeah.. Lets get spooking!

Firstly I thought I show you a cupcake recipe that I am totally in love with. The detailing is so amazing and they would definitely fit in at a Halloween party!

'Broken Glass' Cupcakes

INGREDIENTS
FOR THE CUPCAKES
  • 4 1/2 cups cake flour (not self-rising)
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 sticks plus 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 7 large egg whites, room temperature
FOR THE CARAMEL
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
FOR THE FROSTING
  • 1 pound cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 6 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry preserves, strained, for garnish

DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make the cupcakes: Line cupcake tins with baking cups. Sift flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and 3/4 teaspoon salt into a medium bowl. Combine milk and vanilla in a measuring cup.
  1. Beat butter with a mixer on medium-high speed until pale and fluffy. Reduce speed to medium, and gradually add granulated sugar in a slow, steady stream. Beat until pale and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Reduce speed to low, and add flour mixture in 3 additions, alternating with milk mixture, beginning and ending with flour.
  1. In a clean bowl, whisk egg whites with a mixer on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form. Fold one-third of the whites into the cupcake batter. Fold in remaining egg whites in 2 batches.
  1. Divide batter among baking cups, filling each halfway full. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of each comes out clean and the tops spring back when lightly touched, 18 to 20 minutes. Let cool completely in tins set on wire racks.
  1. Meanwhile, make the caramel: Bring granulated sugar and water to a boil in a small high-sided saucepan, stirring, until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat to medium-high, and cook until mixture just starts to turn pale gold around edges. Remove from heat, and immediately pour caramel onto a rimmed baking sheet. Working quickly, tilt pan to spread caramel to edges to make a very thin layer. Let cool to harden.
  1. Make the frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter with a mixer on medium-high speed until pale and fluffy. Gradually add confectioners' sugar and vanilla. Beat until creamy and spreadable.
  1. Frost each cupcake using an offset spatula. Twist pan to release and break caramel in order for it to resemble broken glass. Place a shard or 2 of caramel "glass" in the center of each cupcake. Drizzle or pipe cherry preserves where caramel has entered the cupcake.

Weren't they delicious?!
Now I'll be showing you some MOUTH-WATERING Halloween Snacks that you can make in less than 5 minutes. They are so ideal for a spook-tacular night in with friends or a high class get together! Comment if you would love to try one!

#1
Apple Monsters

Make these spooky treats using ripe apples and festive candy. To startremove a wedge to form the mouth, then assemble the creatures with candy as friendly or as creepy as you would like.

#2
Pretzel and Cheese Broomsticks

These are so delicious and they also look good enough for the queen, as I would say so myself. You could just pick up some Pretzel sticks and Cheese strings from your local shop or super market and WALAA! (You could always add a herb of some sort to tie around and make the rope, or if you're looking for something un-edible, just wash a blade of grass or something...)

#3
Spooky Halloween Trail Mix

I don't know about you but I loooooooooooooooove trail mix. The good thing is, you can personalize it and add anything! Second thing is, it takes no effort!
Pretzels, crackers, crisps, M&M's, chocolates, sweets, popcorn, a different flavor popcorn, another different flavor of popcorn, chocolate chips, marshmallows, nuts, cereals, oreos AND EVERYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE. I PRAY TO THE TRAIL MIX GODS TO THANK FOR SUCH AN AWESOME INVENTION.

#4
Healthy Halloween Lunch Box

This would probably be more of a 10 minute job but I just had to mention this. Maybe if you're not going out for Halloween and you randomly want to make a themed lunch box? Maybe if you just want to be healthy for Halloween?
You can style it however you want: Cut your food to make it look like something? Colour-coordinate the food? Whatever you want to do.

Now for some amazingly cute Halloween makeup and costume ideas.
Firstly, I just want to mention that I found an account on Instagram and they repost really cool looks for Halloween. Their name is @halloweenmakeupideas !

Rigid Collodion
If you don't know what rigid collodion is, it's a liquidy product that you apply to your face. It pulls your skin and makes the effect of a scar.

BeautifulYouTV do a great tutorial video on YouTube, why don't you go check that out!
