Michael Jackson

Hiii , this week I thought id write about something different .This week it is the 'king of pop' Michael Jackson. He was born on August 29 1958 in Gary, Indiana u.s .Now your probably wondering why I chose to write about him? Well now a days people  only care about celebrities that are about now and tend to forget about singers like Michael. 

 

Michael Jackson was known for his smooth moves, unique outfits ,Catchy songs. When he was younger his brothers were his family performing idols of the family.(Tito ,Jermaine, Jackie)Michael then at the age of 5 became the groups lead vocalist .Then his other older brother(Marlon) became a member making 'Jackson 5' Michael and his brothers moved to Los Angeles, where they lived with Gordy and Diana Ross (another singer) Jackson 5 was introduced to the music industry in a special event in August 1969.In December 1969 Jackson 5 hit the charts with their single 'I want you back' reaching no.1 on the billboard charts.More chart topping singles followed like 'ABC' 'Ill be there'. 

At the age of 13 Michael launched a solo career in addition to his work in Jackson 5 .He made the charts in 1971 with 'got to be there' from the album of the same name. His Album, Ben featured an amazing ballad about a rat.The song became Jackson's first solo no.1 single.For several years Michael and Jackson 5 maintained a busy tour schedule .The group became so popular they even had their own self-titled cartoon show which ran from 1971-1972. 

As Jackson grew up he carried on with his own solo career, sadly Jackson 5 did not continue.He had many successful albums such as Thriller(1982),Bad(1987),Xscape (2014),Dangerous(1991),Off the wall (1979)In which many off these albums contained songs like: 

Thriller 

They don’t really care about us 

Heal the world 

Earth song 

Rock with you  

Man in the mirror 

Smooth criminal 

And many, many more great songs, in which many had meaning.He grew even older he married Lisa Marie Presley (m.1996;divorced) Then went on to marry Debbie Rowe(m.1996-99;divorced) He had 3 children in which I'm not sure which is biological of which child .

Michael Joseph 'prince' Jackson jr  

born February 13th 1997 ,Los Angeles (aged 18) 

Prince Michael 'Blankets' Jackson II 

Born February 21st 2002,La Mesa (aged 13) In a interview explained that he named his son blankets because he used blankets  as an expression meant to 'love/ comfort' but it soon changed due to bullying.
